"Öf all the tunes/songs we have played this year, my ukulele students have placed "Dancing in the Starlight" and "Kiwi Ukulele" right at the top!"
Rona Cooper, Horowhenua Community Music Workshop
It is a fantastic book, I really love these songs and doing them with my classes, especially Dancing in the Starlight, Mr Ukulele, and Ukulele Heaven. It’s the way the chords are really jazzy in places, a step up from the old C , F and G. Stephanie M’kee – H.O.D. Music - Mercury Bay School
Ukulele World includes chords, lyrics and arrangements for 22 great songs, helpful hints and some song history. They are set in easy keys with correct fingering. No matter what your level, there are songs here to build up your skills, from simple two chord songs to more complex arrangements. They reflect Kevin’s love of music, children and teaching, his love of Aotearoa, Pacifica and our multi-cultural community, our natural environment and the need to protect it. Catchy tunes to save the trains, stop the mining, encourage healthy eating and appreciate what we have.

I'm a lecturer in music education at Massey University - based in Palmerston North. This semester I have been teaching online a paper called Music Leadership in the Classroom that has involved the students (final year primary teaching students) learning the ukulele and building a repertoire of songs that they can teach in the class/and or accompany on their ukes and guitars. I have loved teaching them Ukulele Heaven because it's such a great song for school use - on so many levels .
